I got my email today saying I can bring it in for a new dual ball joint suspension up until 12/01 and that it's now a factory recall. Anyone else get that email yet?

Also, I wonder what kind of loaner I'm gonna get :noes:

:bowrofl: you don't get new parts, you get a new boot and they use a 'one time use' only part again....good luck with that

Do you have any formal writing or are you just "guessing" this is the case?

Already had mine replaced about 2 months ago because I beat the dog shit out of my car and caused my LCAs/balljoints to fail @ 12K miles

So... yea... already been done once on my car.. we'll see how long they last this time around!

Hmm..I'm reading here on G8board that the ball joint issue is on cars with vins before 8LXXXXXX...Mine's a 9LXXXXXX..I wonder if that's required then.

wtf? seriously... you're on set #6 for LCAs/balljoints?!

i don't remember exactly what they replaced on mine ~2 months ago, but I know they put 2 brand new LCA assemblies on the driver/passenger side.... dont know if that includes balljoints or not...

And they also put upper strut mounts (IIRC) on the front driver/passenger side at the same time...

Why don't you just lemon law it then? You could have lemoned it 3 ball joints ago and gotten a different car.

:rofl::rofl: That happened with my cousin when he had his 335i...2 weeks after buying it and 400 miles his car died.
Hmm..that's what the fine print in the recall says. I'm debating on taking my car to the dealer now..cause my joints are fine and I haven't had any clunking ect and I don't want a bad batch from the dealer.
