With my G21 came two mags. One of them doesn't drop when I hit the mag release unless it's loaded. I tried three other mags and they all work fine. Any suggestions?

Nevermind, I think I figured it out. The mags I bought from CDNN have a notch right above the mag catch whereas the ones that came with my gun do not. What weirds me out is that one of the mags that came with 21 drops freely while the other doesn't... :dunno:

Look through the round count holes, if you see metal it is considered a "drop free" mag, if there is none it is is a "non drop free."

Yep, it's got a metal lining on the inside of the mag. I might make it my range-only mag.

My first thought is that it's aftermarket if it's doing that. If it doesn't work, I'd chuck it in the trash or sell it to someone. No point in having a magazine that's only a liability.

It's a factory Glock mag. Glock perfection my ass. It'll be a range-only mag that I keep unloaded unless I'm at the range and seperated from the three mags that I have loaded with 230gr HST.

Call Glock customer service on Monday and explain the problem, I bet they send you a new mag for free.

Glock said they will not replace it because the gun was purchased "used"

Europeans like their mags to stay inside the gun. Fine for a range magazine.
