    M2
    there will be no M1.
There is a chance there will be a 125ti M-sport with a detuned M2 engine

    M2 will have a 2.4L 250+bhp Straight 4 16v engine
Transmission will likely be a 6 speed, but there is rumour of a 7speed ZSG transmission (similar to the Audi DSG)

However, BMW will reintroduce the 'iS' badge and it will be synonymous with turbo power.
    220iS - 200bhp turbo 16v I4
    432iS - 350bhp turbo 24v I6

This is from a very reliable source that I have over at mwerks.

oh, and the 2.4L will more than likely be a 2.4L 16v solid lifter engine with a VERY high redline (think 9000rpms)

Turbo's?? From the company "against them"? Ah, who cares, I have an A6 2.7T and turbos work. Go BMW!

    'against them'?
You produce the BMW Press Release or Statement that says BMW is against Turbos and I'll believe that
however, M GmBH has stated that they will not resort to turbocharging for power as they believe in the throttle response that ITBs and Normal aspiration deliver.

If you stick to one because you think it is better than the other ... wouldn't that mean you are against it?

Seems bmw is going back to even numbers = coupe, odd numbers = sedan? hhmm, M2... turbo... AA software... boost controller... :big grin:

M GmBH is NOT BMW GmBH.
Just because they stuck with something for a long time, doesn't mean they are against it.
    Look at Volkswagen
They never did a factory turbo until 2000...
they werent AGAINST turbocharging... they just didn't do it.

    Fuck the M2, I want an M6 :)

Uhh... the cars might look the same because, well, they are both made by german car companies. It seems that is the styling the germans like. Huh, who would have thought that?
