Looking at the specs it doesn't seem like it's THAT much bigger than a USP compact. What do you think about using it for conceal carry?

If you're a big fella, you should be fine; opposite of that is questionable...

Yeah, i'm like 6'3" 210 and I wouldn't want to carry it every day.

Ok so it's a no. I should have explained more...basically I kind of just want 1 handgun that I can carry and keep around for the house. It seems like that's not likely though and I'm better off investing in a USP Compact.

whats wrong with a USP compact around the house?

A glock 19 would be a good choice as well

To be honest, I don't know. I'm new to guns and I just figured that the compacy would be a significantly less accurate gun and I would prefer the full size more.

no no no. first off, a USP compact isnt THAT small.. its small enough to carry , but its not a sub-compact, or a pocket gun by any means. In a home defense situation, you're not going to be shooting someone 30 yards away. If you like HK, be sure to look at the P2000 as well.

I dont know how much bigger the .45 is compared to the 9, but I carry the USP 9 no problem for the most part.

    5'8" 150lbs, thin build.

isn't the USP compact just a shorter barrel, perhaps slightly smaller grip handle? its still large in girth etc, I would choose something smaller if i wanted to carry a full size, like a more slender 1911, or hi-power, baby-eagle etc. even glocks are thick, and its more the thickness that makes things unfomfortable for me, not the length of the barrel and size of the grip.

my .40 USP Compact is deadly accurate at 25 yards.

Which is more than I need it to be. The Fullsized isnt that much bigger, but the compact like said above isnt that small either.

I am 5'9" 200lbs and I carry it daily, my best friends who know I carry never notice it on me, not to mention I have a few different holsters, that i like to mix it up on, incase they ever go mental on me.

I have compact and full H&K's and you would be surprised how much a few ounces and inches less make it that much more portable for concealed carry.

I just got a new compact 9 for 700+. I am starting to sell off my full sizes since I never carry them.

I currently can shoot my sub-compact gun better than I can all my others. It depends on you and how much you've practiced with that firearm.
