I hear some good praise for FMA but can somebody fill me in on what it's about? I was thinking of downloading it but I want to know if it's something like Naruto or some comedy.

take late 1800's victorian era europe, mix in 16th century alchemy. alchemy in which equivilent trade is stressed ie you can't make gold from lead, but if you have carbon you can make diamonds... 2 boys elric and alphonse try to use alchemy to raise their mother from the dead, only to have elric lose a leg and alphonse his entire body, because they hadn't planned for the equivilent trade of their mothers soul... elric realising his mistake and wanting to save his brother from the void uses his arm in an equivilent trade to affix his brothers soul to a 8' tall suit of armour.

that said, good luck finding active torrents before ep 30ish, its been licensed.

I'm getting 1-26 right now. I heard it's 52 episodes long? When will the 52nd be out presumably?

Well new ones come out about once a week... and with about 18 episodes left... something like four/five months.

its not a very kiddy show...kinda graphic actually, like they showed this corpse of an old lady cut in half and then her bones were taken out

FMA is a really good anime, but nothing like Naruto. #1 reason being the fights are completely different (ninja/alchemist) and the story isn't as drawn out as in Naruto where it takes 3 episodes to explain the story.

Totally. That was one thing I really liked about it - How fast the story was paced.

    They're only at like 42, so there's still a good ten episodes.. or 12 if you don't like Fork's releases. (I don't..)

Currently the anime and manga are very far apart.
The anime is very good, however. It took a turn to the dark side, very different fron the very lighter side at the beginning of the anime.

thats exactly what i thought when i watched the first 10 or so episodes... i stuck to it cause there was nothing better at the time and boy am I glad I did... this anime is NOT KIDDY....there are a ton of extremely graphic and macabre scenes and I can honestly say that this series would a give a 10 yr old kid nightmares :hs:

I just got the whole series from a buddy of mine. But ep 42 is broken, and I have to hunt him down.

So far I love the series, it's got a great story to it, I even choked up a bit in the First part. Those of you that have seen the series know why.

Man I wish the spoiler tag would come back.
