I know the feeling :( I was wanting at LEAST cam1300. unless the multiCAM = 3 cam1000 sets, I'd consider the cam1000 pretty useless :hs: hell, the d70 has cam900 doesn't it?

GHEY! It was so close ot being my new sports cam :(

Oh well, I will still buy it after the dust settles (about 6 months after it's finally released.) I need a VG for my big hands. My palm always rests right at the bottom of the D70 and it's uncomfortable.

Yeah, me too, and the magnesium body is hawt. But still... why couldn't they just give it decent autofocus? I mean honestly, d1x level isn't that scary is it?

Well, like with anything, they don't want to make a camera with the best of everything they have to offer. If they did, people wouldn't upgrade every year, or every 2 weeks in the case of Canon users since Canon puts out a new model every other week.

I stand corrected. I figured the f5 was out of production because of the ubermassiveness that is the f6.
