that FCG won't fit into a semi receiver. That's why it isn't registered/really fucking expensive. You would need a registered AK receiver already (and most of those parts you get whenever you order a parts kit anyways)

All NFA rules applies probably means you can only use it to repair an existing registered NFA gun that has suffered from wear and tear over the years and needs a new fire control group.

In other words it is spare parts. At least in the legal sense.

I have a few. There's nothing illegal about owning them, full Auto FCG come with all AK kits. What is illegal is modifying your reciever to accept the FA FCG. Either notching your right rail or by drilling a third pin hole.

    .

But if you were to illegaly own a FA AK this way would be a lot better than other methods out there. :o

Still though, 10 years = no thanks I'm not fucking with my shit.

I wonder if the automatic weapon ban will ever be pulled. :o Too bad Ron Paul dropped out of the race. If we ever had a chance in the next decade he would've been it.

I don't even really care about owning a full auto, I just want to shoot one to see what it's like.

Rumor has it that owning one and owning a firearm capable of using the parts - even if it requires modification - might not be illegal, but falls squarely into the region of being a BAD IDEATM as far as the ATF's perspective goes...

Last I checked, you don't get a receiver with a parts kit.

Maybe the ATF doesn't care so much about AKs as they do ARs - plenty of AR receivers out there that are perfectly capable of accepting the FA trigger pack...

it's for people that need to replace parts in their FCG who already have a registered full auto.\

it was attached to the Firearm Owner's Protection Act of 1985. It had a lot of must pass legislation in it(ban on future gun registries, safe passage laws, and I think one other key thing that a lot of people take for granted) and there was a very shady way that it was even put into the bill in the first place. Read up on it.

What I really want to know about is what justifies them to decide what is allowed based on "sporting purpose" because although US v Miller was a loss for Miller it was because SCOTUS couldn't see the military purpose of a short barreled shotgun.

I always wondered how they can legally get around owning them as distributers. I mean they have all the FCG parts, and I'm sure they have a handful of AKs or receivers around, so wouldn't that be constructive intent or something?

    Constructive intent.

That is why if I want a new stock for my A.R I need to have it shipped to a shop and pinned. If I have it at my house I am a felon :noes:.

CSP SLFU doesn't interpret constructive intent as broadly as the ATF does, I've spoken with them on this subject. They told me we're okay to own assault weapon parts as long as they're not assembled on a post ban receiver.

The y-stamp was OK. The ones with the 3rd hold needed to be sent back. Not sure how they got that third whole seeing as SIAGAs are built for civilian export :hsugh:
