why can't they wash their gi or at least wash themselves? There is one dude in my gym and his gi smells like rotten corpses. The smell alone is good enough to make me tap out. Not to mention the potential of ringworms and who knows what else. :ugh:

Maybe they don't wash it intentionally. I hear wrestlers do that...don't wash themselves that is

usually it is because they don't do laundry often and train with the gi many times a week. Solution: get another gi or train without it.

When I was a wrestler, I used to eat a lot of smelly food with onions before a competition, but I didn't need to do that during training.

This is why I didn't take high school wrestling... dirty stinky ass teenagers in hardly any clothes, sweating, pimple covered, and rubbing against me.... no dice. I'd rather just not know how to fight on the ground.

I actually regret not doing wrestling since I'm more into fighting now... but still in a way I'm very glad I didn't.

I took it but was awful. Just dont think i had the right mindset at the time. About the Gi's if you dont wash it at least once a week or after every class you are just being a dick. Its about as bad as people that dont clip their nails and scratch the bejeezus out of you.

I took wrestling after startin BJJ and it was one of the smartest moves I made. My takedowns aren't the best in the Nation, I am still able to takedown almost anyone my weight. I'm not a great wrestler though, I really suck on the ground and I get caught a lot in pins during practice. But in competitions, I win on points, and those points come from my takedowns.
