I'm really getting pissed off when I go shopping (I wont even mention going out to eat ) there is nothing I can buy to eat.

    Here is what I buy:
    Fruit & veggies
    Chicken breast
    Tuna
    Lean ground beef
    Fish
    Fat free yogert
Fat free cottage cheese (I hate it though)

That's it. I'm getting plenty of carbs throughout the day, so I cant buy what I really love to eat, grains :wtc:

What do you guys buy when you shop? I litterally go up and down the isles and cant find anything to buy. I have to keep my calories low while keeping my portions huge or else I'll eat myself obese. I just cant get full ever.

try this: 1/4 to 1/2 cup brown rice and 1/4 - 1/2 cup water (after rice is cooked) with a can of progresso garlic chicken soup. soup = 200kcal, rice is like 150? and thats a big ass bowl of soup. Add a can of tuna ftw

    downfall: high in sodium

hot pockets - ultra lean pockets (200kcal per pocket... i think its like 24g protein, 12g carb, 6g fat?)

dump the fat free CC and get 1%, big difference in taste and very little in macronutrient breakdown (2g fat isn't gonna kill you :p)

I don't see any oatmeal in there.

Also, if you can't get full and you're eating like 6 meals a day, its because they all have to be so small so you don't go over calories. Drop it to 3 or maybe 4 meals a day if you must.

I have the same problem of not ever being full. It blows cause I can't really have that much food in my house or I will just eat it all in one night if I don't ahve to cook it, such as snacks that are bad for me. So I take the self control at the grocery store and just don't buy the bad stuff.

    Sucks dude.

If you hate the fat-free cottage cheese but are low-carbing- go for the 1%. Slightly better taste. And try not eating it plain :o I like it with splenda and cinnamon.

I add alot of low calorie sauces to my meals. Balsamic vinegar or low calorie Barbecue Sauce are great examples.

for those who hate wet cottage cheese, try the Dry Curd Cottage Cheese.

The breakdown isn't too bad for it either.

1/2 Cup of Dry Curd Cottage Cheese
    104 Calories
    0.5g of Fat
    18g of Protine
    6.4g Carbs

I prefer it over the other stuff, but it costs a little more.

I like normal cottage cheese, the fat free stuff is like eating bumpy watered down milk :barf:
