Fucking cleans

    This week I managed to break my wrist while doing cleans. I pulled the bar either a bit far in front or too low, caught it awkwardly and it just snapped. To add insult to injury I had to drive myself to the hospital and got a parking ticket while I was there. Worst fucking workout ever.

    On a less whiny note, anyone have any ideas for exercises I could do with a broken wrist?

    Any leg movements. Squats, presses, hacks, extensions, ham curls... Grow some trunks while your wrist heels.

    I fucked up my wrist doing cleans the other day, luckly no breaks though. Concentrate on legs till it heals

    How much weight were you using?

    I've caught it akwardly a few times and it left my wrist sore for a day or two, but I don't usually go over 165 or so for power cleans.

    142.5kg. I think I pushed the PRs a bit too quick coming off my last injury.

    I hope i'm still able to do squats and GMs. I don't know if I'll be able to hold the bar with the cast or not. We'll see tonight when I stop by the gym.

    do some one handed snatches to keep you're explosiveness man, obviously not with the broken hand

    Is there no risk in unequal developement with only using the one hand? Espescially given that I will be unable to do the full lifts for at least 10 weeks or so.

    i wouldnt call it a risk, but the arm and shoulder that youre doing the pulling with is obviously going to develop more so than the arm that is hanging there, the question is do you let both arms atrophy or keep one in good shape and let the other one catch up when it heals? besides, the explosiveness of the lower body during one-handed snatches is distributed equally between right and left, since you are supposed to be letting the weight hang between your legs....try and few and youll see...once you heal your bad arm should catch up in no time

    I'd just rest, look into a front squat harness or something that'll allow you to work around it
