Lately I've been getting alot of warning messages that said "4.461v powerline has exceeded normal operating parameters." or "4.488v powerline has exceeded normal operating parameters." Eventually my monitor would go into a standby mode and not come back, or the screen would just go nuts and the screen would turn into a bunch of colors in a weird ass patterns.

I would reboot the computer, get to the user log on....click on my profile and the screen would go nuts again in the same manner. Then I'd restart in safe mode and it would be fine...until it fucks up again!

    Can anyone help?

refresh rate might be too high, or resolution too big.

hmm...:dunno: It has always been the same...but I'll go check.

How do you check the refresh rate?

Refresh rate and resolution wasn't the bomb, I dont think so.

Check your power supply with a multi meter if you have one. Sounds like the power supply could be going bad or gone bad now that it will not start.

:eek3: It's late, but I'll check everything tommorow.

Where can I get a multi meter and how much would that cost?

I also notices there is a humming noise coming from the computer when I turn it on. It's been humming for a while now, but now when I boot up it goes on for a long time and I cannot pinpoint where it's coming from.

    :hs:
