    my wife is in tech school right now for the USAF. she just got her first duty station and it's Korea, for a year. me being here in america, how often will i be able to see her?

    they dont have family housing, do they?

    i was told i wouldnt be on her orders for korea, so would we have to pay for it out of our own pocket, or how would it work?

    If you are married, you should be able to be treated as a dependant which means you qualify for base housing or BAH, and all other benefits that dependants receive.

    Special rules apply for Tech School, but once she graduates, there will be no difference between her and any other joe in the AF.

    BTW, how long have you been married?
    what base is she at?

    Edit: you cannot go with her to Osan as far as I know, but you should be able to get BAH for your area.

    Huh? A short tour is 6 months. Korea is a long tour, and a TDY, no family can accompany her. She'll still get family sep, BAS, and BAH for whatever base she'll be stationed at, but the only time you are going to get to see her is when she is on leave in 6 months unless you a) move to Korea on your own dime or b) fly there to visit. You should have been able to live with her at tech school though if her tech school was over 4 months.
