I know how you feel. I need a MkII at least, hopefully soon. I want it for the 2008 Olympic Swim Trials. 300 to go with would be nice too.

rather have more reach for my "walk around lens".

the kit 18-55 was always alittle to short for my style, and i never really used it for anything in the 18-30 range.

The sad thing is I really have a great deal of what I want covered now. There are a couple other lenses I'll add eventually I'm sure (45mm TS-E to complete the trio) but otherwise most of what I'll be doing down the road is replacing lenses that wear out or get broken. My 70-200 2.8 has had some spills in the past 8 or 9ish years, some day I figure it'll probably get killed and I'll collect the insurance and go replace it. Not sure I'd even bother with the IS a second time around either but I guess it would depend on my mood.

    $3800?

    A pittance

Hope you're happy with the TC. Ive never seen good results from a Canon TC with that 70-200. It works great with the primes though..

Perhaps you should cancel your order and pick up a cheaper hobby.

EFs still doesn't change focal length, bro. :o Just because it's EF-s doesn't mean its exempt from the crop factor. Do you even know why there is a crop factor, son?
