I went to take off my grip on one of my 40ds today, turned the knob, it kept turning and all of a sudden... crack.... then the wheel keeps spinning. the grip was half way off., and luckily i have a very thin hack saw with a fine tooth blade to cut the screw off.

but now i have a nearly new BGE2N grip thats fucking useless. Will canon warranty this you think? Its very new, i dont have teh receipt but i do have the warranty card.

Anyone have this happen to them?

I broke a 5D grip last week, it fell from my hand and the top part that goes into the battery compartment snapped. :(

From what I've heard, it's a fairly common issue. It might be covered.

I hope they do. I would have tried calling them before I took a hacksaw to it though...Just something to consider in the future :x

Yeah, I feel like you would have better luck before you messed with it. They'll try to find anything to not pay for things.

    Canon are great.

lol, last year I dropped my P&S cam on the floor and the lens got messed up. Not exactly covered by the warranty, yet Canon gave me a brand new one

nope they card everybody. they know me by name and they still have to card me, never know who is watching... They can lose their liquor license, no club will risk it.

They had Ashley simpson come through a while ago when she was underage, and didnt let her in.

As someone who's bounced in bar's and currently works in the security industry, I can tell you they don't.

Fake's are not hard to spot. Honestly, most of the people we caught were people who had older siblings that look like them, that gave them their ID, and that's easy as pie to bust--just have them sign their name... ;)
