Fuck I'm gettin' old

    Made it back to the gym after taking 2 weeks off :o to enjoy the holidays. Well today must be National Chest Day, more specifically National Bench day. It seemed as though every teeny bopper and college freshman looking tomake the football team brought their sister...errr brother along to bench.

    Some of the fail I witnessed:
    - some kid reading men's health between sets (I give him credit, he had to be 14)
    -7 kids, yep, 7 kids using 1 bench
    -1 genius was pressing with two different sized db's. a 40 and 45
    -a spotter day dreaming while his friend nearly tears out his shoulder on incline
    -someone doing deads on the smith machine, which somehow turned into shrugs half way through the set

    I swear i should take January off, but I can't afford too. I'm goin to have to come in the mornings instead. If I continue this I'll end up killing someone. I cut my workout down to 3 sets per so I could get the hell outta there.

    I could see where the crowding or lack of free equip could bother me. However, I dont not understand why so many of you guys get bothered so much by what other people are doing.

    :werd: The only real nuisance is people standing in front of the db rack.

    The kid reading Men's Health was probably reading a routine or something.

    I get bothered by these two idiots doing their MMA routines. The only reason it's annoying because I can't stop watching them and it's distracting.

    It's not really like I am concerned about what they are doing or want to talk shit on them. More like a car wreck that you have to look at when you drive by, it's unavoidable.

    i never get it either. eveyrone here is so fascinated or bothered w/ what other people do. when i workout, i dont worry about anything but what im doing or if theres a fat booty walking around.

    if it doesnt directly interrupt what im doing or w/e then i dont care. if i need to use something i just work in.

    Exactly. Usually im so focused on the workout that I block everything out around me.

    I've been going around 1-2 for the past few weeks so it hasn't really been a problem. Today I went at 5 and HOLY SHIT. Not doing that again..

    he had to be 120lbs soaking wet. He later changed it to two 40's. the 45 was dipping like crazy :rofl:

    I feel ya... I graduated 3 weeks ago and I've continued going to the university weight room until my card gets deactivated (which I'm guessing is tomorrow when winter quarter starts) and today was the first day it's been bad with the combo of all the students being back in town and all the new years resolutionists.

    Luckily all of the newbs are kinda modest/shy and get the fuck out of you way if you have any size.

    Yah, the problem today was that the kids that were there must have been working out for a year or so so they all thought they were the biggest in the gym.

    I guess January is going to be an all legs month. I'll squat till I puke, those little bastards don't go near the squat racks.

    Yeah, today all of the dumbbells below 50 pounds were missing and all the benches occupied but the squat racks were empty :rofl:

    The power racks at my gym double as a bench press rack.
    Luckily I'm only in the gym wed/fri/sat/sun.

    BTW just wait til they start curling in the squat rack :mad:
