    A ftp page?
Something that you can use your web browser to view links to the files on the ftp server?

I'm not sure I understand your problem, because if that is what you're trying to do you can simply point your web browser at the ftp server's address and see what is on the server. ftp://whatever the server address is you may have to login but that's normal.

okay, well, 1&1 is not a webserver... they are a webhost. You're probably on a linux machine, however, which usually means Apache.

create a file called .htaccess and place it in the root of the directory. inside it should contain:
    Code:
    Options +Indexes
