Selling a used tokina 12-24mm f/4 canon mount.

the only constant aperture ultra wide angle for 1.6x cameras. Excellent picture and built quality. Some people have even said its better then the canon 10-22mm.

Reason im selling is i sold my 20D and bought a 1D so the sale of the lens will help to go towards a 16-35mm

Bought from b&h store in november when i went to NYC last year. Dont have the box because i didnt have space in my luggage to bring it back but i kept the 3 year warrenty (unfilled) that comes with the lens.

Lens comes with the hood and both caps.

Condition looks brand new, no marks on the glass surface at all. Hood looks perfect as well.

I equate this to the excellent built quality of the lens.

will post pictures tomorrow afternoon when i get the chance.

asking price. $400 + paypal and we split shipping cost

well you can mount it because it's not an EF-S mount, it will just produce heavy vignetting at the edges of the picture. I used it on my (film) Rebel Ti and it worked, vignetting was significantly less at the 18-24 range, which would be pretty limiting if it was only used on a full frame camera

edit: I also have this lens and love it, it's solid, great build quality

if you stop it down on film do the corners get better or is it alway bad? I would be interested in seeing how bad because 12mm on full frame would be crazy

Stopping down probably wouldnt do anything significant. If I can locate my negatives I'll scan them in. It did some crazy stuff on film, since the image size was so small when it was at 12mm (it didnt take up the normal frame size) it started to offset my negatives and they werent lined up with the frame numbers
