    I have looked into this issue, it seems to be a problem with the circuit board and costs around 100 dollars for nikon to repair. It may work fine but there is always the chance of something going wrong and ruining your hot shoe or camera. Just my $.02

    starting to save up for the D700... in for D300 being the backup in a few months. :noes:

    D700/D3 makes pictures that are easily worth the price difference between those and the D300.
