Haven't even had the chance to buy a mount for it but I decided that I don't think I should keep it right now. I will be getting one again further down the road for sure though.

    Say $500 + $15 UPS, southern il crew can meet/pickup for $500.

The play money is limited right now and I decided to supplement my collection of glock mags in the past couple months.

Yes Glock mags would be a priority. I'm not sure where this picture is from. As everyone knows you can't get new high caps in CA. Don't ask me I don't know.

I could make a similar picture but with 9mm and 10mm....are the 33 round ones really worth having so many of though? I bought 2 but they just seem like dumb range toys

interest rates have never been lower

yeah the g18 mags kick ass. A big stick that feeds reliably is a mark of a good mag. The 2011 (1911 wide body) big sticks are like $100 piece with base, spring, and follower and they are iffy if they run or not.

Are they run in any of the competitions or just fun toys?

For uspsa we cut them down and put a arredondo basepad on them (to get them under 170mm. Works out to 27+1. You could probably get more if you shaved the follower and cut the spring.

For steel matches we run them as is. Awesome 33+1 goodness. Major advantage.

If your shooting production class minimum I would own is 6 G17 mags. Even though it's a 10 round division the mags just work better, easier to load, easier to seat a loaded mag with a closed slide.

For limited (minor) minimum is 4 mags w/ +5 base

    Open class 9 major 1 g18 cut down to 170mm, 3 mags w/ +5 bases.

I personally would double or triple those numbers so you have some back up mags.

Cool thanks, where did the mag extension plates fall under the 94 fed ban? On one hand I could use them to turn something like a g26 mag into an "assault magazine", but if I were putting it on a pre-ban g17 mag it wouldn't have changed anything regarding being over 10 rounds. Did that leave them as regulated like a mag or unregulated replacement parts?

basepads are unrgulated if used on high caps. If used on a 10 rounder during a ban or in a state with a ban it is illegal. extended basepads generally don't work on 10 rounders anyway by design.
