A few months old, barely used. I don't shoot telephoto at all

Looking for another D300 body or D90 Kit...anyone up for some trading?

    Otherwise, $ 1600 + shipping/paypal fee's takes it.

wanna trade the lens for 11tybillion canvas prints?

thats all I got. wife froze the photography spending account after I bought 3 Tamron 28-75 2.8's so I could pick the sharpest and return the other two...

It made sense to me at the time... :dunno:

    :fawk: :fawk:

seriously... The one I kept is as sharp as a razor. It's sharper than my 50mm 1.8 at 2.8. that's wide open for the tammy and 1 stop deep for the Nikon...

but yeah... she took my credit cards... :squint: :wtc:

I am thinking about one as a cheap fill in until I can save up for the 24-70 Nikkor.... How much deviation was between the three?

    :bowrofl:

    genius!!!!!!!

and for the record, 1600 isn't a bad price. This lens isn't made anymore, retailed in the neighborhood of 1900+, and the new version is going to retail for closer to 2400. 1600 isn't bad, but I've seen them as low as 14XX as well.

One was mediocre, the other two were both really close. Even the mediocre one was the optical equal to my 50mm 1.8 though... The other two, and the one I chose absolutely destroy the 50mm. I'm talking at f2.8 too, so it's wide open on the Tammy and a stop down on the Nikon... Strange, but i'm not kidding. If I didn't have all 3, I probably would have been happy with any of them, but wouldn't be spanking it to the sharpness like I am now...

My wife disagrees with you! :o :sadwavey:

1600 isn't a bad price at all... I'd have to buy this, then sell my 80-200 though, which would infuriate her even further, so I can't even consider it.

For some strange reason, she's under the impression that I think of our bank account as monopoly money... :dunno:

(but i'm serious about the canvas work! I'll canvas your whole house!!)

trust me on this, I know your pain. My wife doesn't necessarily agree with my purchasing plans:o. Although originally I said I wanted to buy 3 lenses this year, and so far I've only bought 1...and I'm not sure I'll be picking up either of the other 2 I talked about:o

I can understand selling 1 to fund the other...or at least replace some of the money spent on the new one:o. You won't get nearly 1600 for the 80-200:o.
