Sounds like a great deal but why 5 batteries? Isn't that overkill?

FTW, I loved my IDIIn. Awesome camera. I only sold it to buy a 1DsII.

That's a great deal for the last good working 1D series body. The N was my favorite of the bodies I used since the MkIII couldnt focus on anything that was moving. High ISO isnt great, but if you can stay below 1600 you'll get great images out of it.

    Great deal for someone.

    Jcolman asking about overkill? :eek3:
Hahaha, yeah its always good to pack more than u need, I hate it when I run out of power and can't shoot anymore

haha I saw that mod, didn't look like an easy deal becuase u need to work with the fuses and stuff inside

Yeah, its a sick camera! Mark 3 still has some pretty amazing file quality though--if u can get the pictures sharp

really? Wow dude, these things are built TOUGH
I have heard of one doing over a million actuations

    Yes, buy now :) hehe

No I haven't upgraded yet, I just don't really shoot much sports anymore so I can't justify holding on to this beauty

screen is gorgeous on this thing
Brent, how do you like the AF system compared to your d700?

I'm finding myself shooting alot less sports and I'd like to play with full frame, I might be picking up a 5D next week.

I find myself thinking I'll want to get rid of the 1DII in the next year or so, but I'm so used to shooting with the body, the ergonomics are just so awesome, and the build is great. Tough to find a replacement...

    and responsiveness too!
one touch of the shutter and you've already locked focus and taken like 8 frames

You gonna be doing any olympic shooting Keegan?

I wish. There's a last minute appeal to some contacts to get us a photo pass but the chances are quite slim. If we get it, a friend is the photo manager at CHP/Opening ceremonies and it will be a 2nd christmas ;)
Will be keeping some gear on me at all times though, in case something happens/Olympic memories in general.
