    That's why I see so many more classic non-Ford cars fitted with a 351 than I do classic Ford's fitted with a SBC... Oh wait, I don't.
    ;)

    They are both great engines for build-ups, I'm just playing devil's advocate so you Ford guys have something to talk about :fawk:

    thats cause chevy engines fail more so there are more used parts available at cheaper cost :fawk:

    Chevy 4-bolt mains = Ford 2-bolt mains

    Edit: And both SB & BBF blocks are also lighter.

    Back in the 60's and 70's. With the modern engines that's not quite the case...

    4.6 SOHC = 600#
    4.6 DOHC = 576#

    LS1 = 497#
    LS6 = 497#

    no it wasnt

    the BOSS 302 was a 4 bolt. the normal Windsor motors were not.
