I've decided that money is more valuable to me as a college student (soon to be graduate student) than the thrill of riding, so my bike is up for sale.

Absolutely beautiful bike, you will fall in love as soon as you see it. It's gray in color, has about 23k miles on the odometer. Brand new Yuasa battery, and I'll throw in a battery tender for it too.

    I'm asking $2400 obo. I'll also throw in a 2-piece Spidi GTS leather suit. It's a Euro size 54.

The bike is located in Indianapolis, Indiana.

If you have any questions, e-mail me at [email protected]. Thanks

That's an awesome bike. If I already didn't pick up another bike, I'd seriously consider buying yours. The amount of modding you can do to those Hawks is ridiculous. I'd love to have one for the track. :bigthumb:

Also try selling it on Cycleforums. There are a bunch of Hawk fans/afficianados over there...

Are hawk's decent beginner bikes? How's the frame for a 6'-6" person?

this bike was my first bike, and it has been amazing. For somebody as big as you, I wouldn't recommend starting on a Ninja 250. I do some highway riding, and redlining at 70 mph while flow of traffic is going 80+ is not my idea of safe.

With that aside, the bike has about 45 hp that it puts to the ground. As long as you exercise throttle control, you'll be absolutely fine. This bike lets you cruise around at 40 mph and allows you to escape dangerous situations quickly.

I cannot think of a better beginner bike

They're very good as beginner bikes. They sort of like an early version of the SV650. Both are 650cc V-twin standards. But the Hawk has the cool single-sided swingarm.

Those Hawks are absolute cult bikes and for a reason. Stock pipes on a V-twin is almost a sin, though ;)

Well, not really. I won't trade off a motorcycle and I'm not sure what else I'd have you would want. I am however pointing a friend towards your bike.
