Fruit smoothies v. 100carbsomfg!

    So before I made the drive home from college today I decided to stop off and get a smoothie for breakfast/lunch at smoothie king. I got a 32 oz figuring since im driving 2 hours itd keep me occupied lol....well, while they were making my carribean way smoothie (strawberry, banana, papaya, and mango) I thought id look through the nutrition brochure....for a 20 ounce, 232 cals, and 100 carbs! :eek3: WTFFFFF :ugh:


    took like 5 sips and through that 32 ounce mother fucker out....god damn, it was soo good too :( Why are there so many fucking carbs!

    Seriously.

    You have to keep an eye out if you really want to be strict. Carbs like to hide themselves and are often higher in content than you think. Before I started counting carbs on fitday I would just run estimates in my head and usually came up with 250g or so.... Once I finally started counting I realized that I was taking in more like 350g's.

    Holy fuck you bought, tasted, then threw out a smoothie b/c it wasn't diet food? There are about 5 things wrong with that.

    exactly what I was thinking. 100g carbs = 400 cals, not counting protien and fat.

    At first i was thinking they counted fibre but then realized that 42 extra grams is rediculous.

    why wouldn't you get a smoothie under the protein/workout section? NOT a caribbean way. Try a strawberry shredder with almonds and mangosteen added. I usually do that or a almond mocha high protein w/ a scoop of butter pecan :yum:
