Any particular brand to look into? I had 3 Motorola ones about 2 years back worth $150 each. My bro borrowed it and lost it all. Now he gave me 2 GPX radios worth $30 each. Im still mad about that. But anyways, anyone have experience with FRS radios? Or another forum to look at? I dont want any cheap stuff but at the same time not too expensive. Thanks.

Been using Cobra and Motorola, and I like them both. The more expensive Motorola has the scramble mode, and weather radio built-in. They're around $70 ea.

Which is better? I want to narrow the brand down.

Depends on how you're going to use it. The Motorola is more rugged and it floats (some models do), but I did drop the Cobra in water for 10 minutes, and it still work after drying out the next day. If you're as clumsy as I am, get the Motorola.

I bought the Motorola 6320 after a friend lost my T280. I'm happy with it and if you buy the NimH version you can still use AA batteries with it.
