    INteresting.

Why is this only for the iMacs? Do the iMacs have a video out I assume? Or is this just for watching stuff on your Mac?

I just finished installing it on the Mini and it works well.

Without a remote, it's not really an elegant solution as you have to hold down the ESC key for 5 seconds to activate it and then use your keyboard for Navigation. The Trailers are pretty slick though!

Time to move it into the TV room, search for a USB IRDA receiver and pick up an Apple Remote.

    It's on the newsgroups....

Hot! So I wonder if you buy the remote and iPod dock reciever for the remote and plug it in if that will somehow work with it all? I'm sure Apple will have a reliable version out pretty soon.

Right now, there are reports of the program being somewhat buggy. the DVD part doesn't work, but everything else is fine and runs on various mac platforms. I'm sure they will release it soon. It will probably be a part of ilife 06. or at least it will be now. I'm pretty sure Apple & Steve Jobs are pulling their hair out right now because of this software being traded on the net. I really like the itunes part. it reminds me of my ipod's interface. I say macworld expo is when its going o be released as part of iLife 06.

As Easy as it was to install, I'm sure they had to expect it. It's too good an application to keep locked on the iMac.

I too think it could end up as part of the iLife suite, or possibly, depending on how rampent it spreads around the Internet simply a system update.

I doubt it -- it's good publicity for the app, just like the OSx86 crack was.

so, anyone tried it with one of the apple controlers?
In theory, i guess if u had bluetooth, or got a usb BT thing, then u could use it, right? Might need to make sure the computer recognizes the controler, which means someone will hafta maybe take some settings off of a current iMac?

Why would apple sell the remotes if this wasnt supposed to happen? I'll wait for the offical release (lol, only because my iBook G3 sucks, and i dont even have BT :wtc: )

allows u to control ur mac using a BT remote. Controle iTunes, iPhoto, iDvd, and iMovie (i think thats it, not sure)

is it possible to use other programs? Such as Quick time would be cool, etc?
