May just be my monitor, but white balance seems a bit off in the ones with the trees. Seems a bit green.

First and last are nice. The other ones I'm not digging the location. Lots of shrubbery, shadows, and odd angle / vehicle positioning.

Basically, do you want us to look at the car? Or the scenery? The answer isn't both ;) One should complement the other without taking anything away from the thing you're trying to show off. In this case, the car.

Noise isn't that bad, especially for a Nikon.

Frame more of the car, less of everything else (tighter crop) unless the back drop is worth using. Trees, shrugs, bushes... all that crap sucks for car shots.

:werd: I was kinda trying to get more use of the rule of thirds and such, But I'll def keep that in mind :)

For automotive shots, what is the best aperature to use?

i really like the last one. Excellent example of composition. Kinda nice to see something a little different when it comes to car shots. :bigthumb:

On full car shots, don't worry about the rule of thirds. Fill the frame. Only when you focus on certain parts does the rule of thirds work well, ie wheel shot, spoiler, etc

Depends. What information are you trying to convey? You can give a sense of place (important!) even with a blurred background.

Not the greatest shot by any stretch of the imagination (although, I'd like to think it's still a clean shot), but even with the background blurred, it tells you, the viewer, everything you need to know about why the shot was taken, where the shot was taken, and what the car was doing when it was being taken.

BTW, this was also taken with a D200, with the 70-200mm f/2.8G VR lens at f/2.8, 130mm
