I'm using transmit, but for some reason my downloads are limited to 350k down. I'm guessing that its the fact that it isn't a registered copy, because on my windows box right next to it on the same switch i'm getting 700k+ down on the same site, same file.

Are there any free ftp apps out there?? maybe even open source?

What do you use ftp for? I know it stands for file transfer protocol, but what would the average user do with an ftp program?

as an average user you may not even need it. But i work with other servers that i run my BT's from that are 100mb connections to the net. Also i run my own domain, so thats another reason i need to xfer files to/from.

I'd use ftp in terminal, but it doesn't tell me what speeds i'm getting.
