I was browsing FM Software, and the Velvia Vision and Shadow Recovery Pro plug-ins caught my eye.

I bit the bullet and paid for both :hs: but holy hell, they are both worth EVERY cent.

I havn't gotten out to use my 350d just yet, but I tried the plugins on some of my previous P&S photos, and noticed HUGE improvements.

Some photos that I deemed unusable, came to life with a few modifications.

I highly recommend both of these plugins, if you don't already use them, or have similar post processing actions.

My personal example from Garden of the Gods in Colorado:

BEFORE with Photoshop CS: brightness/contrast, hue/sat, no sharpening, before FM plugins
    [IMG]

AFTER with Photoshop CS: brightness/contrast, hue/sat, no sharpening, after SR & VV plugins
    [IMG]

That speaks for itself in my opinion. I think that photo is 100% better after the use of the plugins. I'm still a noob, so don't be cruel with my photo, as I'm just trying to highlight the amazing effects the plugin can have on a photo.

It increase the noise/grain on the second picture substantially. And there's this 'halo' around the rock that looks in a not so good weird way.

well i wasnt critiquing his work... i cant even see the pictures here at work.. i was making a comment on the velvia filter itself... there is no substitution for the real thing. thats why i am now shooting both digital and medium format. as far as i know his images could look awesome.... but i cant see them till i get home....

First off, why would i want a proffesional critique in the first place, its my hobby, not my life!

Second, i aint a pussy like you, so i wouldnt cry. i would suck up what was said and use the information to improve my pics.

Third, if you dont like it, fuck off and post your photos in anouther forum.

    And Fourth, Its spelt SKULL!

    YOU DUMB FUCK!

    Or not mate

my opinion could be for example you should have taken the picture from a lower angle or should have used a slower shutter speed. That is my opinion.
