It was announced ages ago. Dana said winner of Franklin vs Okami would get the title shot next. In Cincinnati... ....against the winner of Silva vs Marquardt :mamoru:

It was announced before it was announced.

Franklin is a really smart fighter, but I think he's gonna get wrecked.

Yea, I'm not saying it is. I just think that silva is honestly just a much better fighter.

No matter what happens, it will not go down like the first fight. Rich is a smart fighter and even if nothing has changed between the two (which it has) Rich will come out with a different game plan to attempt to capitalize on Anderson's weaknesses.

I don't know about strength, even Franklin said after the fight that Silva was a lot stronger than he thought he was. Going into this next fight he has a lot better idea of what he's going into, and he'll be prepard definately. That being said, I'm rooting for Silva, one of my favourites

Silva has been lifting weights a lot more now.

Also i think it's painfully obvious his weakness is that non existent takedown defense. He's been subbed, but i wouldnt call that his weakness. He has a good sub defense.

His next loss i think will be via TKO on his back. just not sure who is going to do that to him.

takedown defense, possibly how he might handle being on his back against somebody with Ace's size

stronger than he thought he was != strong

probably just underestimated him. Ace is easily one of the strongest MWs though. hell, he manhandled Okami, who supposedly has retard strength too

Ya I guess so. He doesn't really look that big, but man, he handled rich in that clinch once he started with the knees.

    No excuse.

 I'm just kidding. I still think Silva will take it though, but it will be pretty close.

Even if Rich Franklin wins this figfht it has to be a remarkable win like when Silva demolished his face or people will be upset and I think even if he has changed and im sure he has that task will be very hard.

Remember Franklin watching Silva's last fight from in the crowd? He looked straight up terrified. If he goes into the fight even the least bit like that he's going to get destroyed so bad.

    Someone post the gif.

I really don't think Franklin has any chance at all on the feet, if he doesn't get the fight to the ground and stay there it will be over in the first round. I am going to give Franklin some credit and say Silva by tko late in the second round.

Ace is huge. seeing how he beefs up to ~205 after weighins is a testament to how big he is

and Silva used to fight at 170, which Ace could NEVER do

Silva has awesome BJJ and submission-defense. Yeah his 2 legitimate losses are due to submissions but those were a long time ago and he didn't become a BB until a couple years after those fights; I doubt he'll get caught in a submission anytime soon. Also, you only think he has bad takedown defense because he's so comfortable on his back, hes super quick and has a great sprawl.. People assume that because he's such a great striker that if he gets taken down hes at a huge disadvantage; but hes a BB in BJJ, he's not Chuck Liddell. He'd much rather go all-out with his striking, even if hes risking getting taken down rather than pulling a 'Tim Sylvia v. Jeff Monson'; mostly because of his confidence in his ground game.

I guess I'm kind of an A. Silva sackrider but for good reason. He's just such a complete fighter, amazing standing up and great on the ground. I cant imagine any MW having better striking than him and I can't see him getting caught in a submission. But i agree with Checkii, when/if he ever does lose it'll be by gnp, probably from the mount. GL getting out of his body lock guard and getting the mount though, I dont see Franklin doin it.

if Ace wins, it'll be by GnP or by decision

if Silvia wins, it'll be by KO

    just my prediction
