I think it would be a good move. Both him and cox know hes not beating Silvia anytime soon.

makes perfect sense. he'll never hold the 205 title, but he would make for some awesome fights.

I still want to see him move down to brazil and train with blackhouse.

I understand the move but this only makes the weak MW division that much weaker.

    Hendo

    Bisping

    Leben

    Sakara

Na I think it make the MW div look better because they are right. It's just him and Anderson. I don't think anyone can beat Rich but Anderson and no one can beat Anderson so what are they to do? He would do good in LHW but may never beat rampage either, lol.

    hendo is 185
I think hwe would give Forrest a damn good run for his money
I think jardine would bully him, but he could very well beat Jardine and his chinny chin chin
chuck would put a hurt on him bad
Wandy would not leave much of Rich to look at
Thiago would have problems with Rich, and I see that being the best match up for viewers on the list.

So if it hypothetically is just him and rich, if rich leaves then it is now just silva. At least with Rich at MW it makes for some interesting fights. Hendo vs Rich would be a great fight, I would love to see Bisping get owned by Rich as well.

Yeah I would like to see him face off against those guys as well. I say he should stay in the mw division until the time Silva decides he wants to leave then he can reclaim the gold again

problem is, he eliminates too many people that would get a title shot.

Okami for example is a formidable opponent for Silva. Loses to Rich takes him out of direct contentions.
Same could be said for Bisping or Leben. Both are working their way up, and if Rich just beats them back down then there is no title shots to hold.

I totally understand this, personally I would want to see Bisping or Leben vs Franklin, not too mention Hendo. I guess in my mind it just means they need to find more people for that division instead of having Rich leave but I totally understand that he also takes people out of contention.

I agree. it's bizarre that there is just not any good talent in that weight class.

shit I think they should set it up so hendo can get a rematch have him and franklin fight it out which he will win and then have him fight one more time and then have him take on silva. Silva vs Hendo 2 with hendo owning his ass.

Just for pure hilarity, his first matchup should be someone with a really strong clinch, like Wandy or Shogun

Makes sense to me. At least if he gets lucky and wins a couple in a row at LHW he could be in a (somewhat) intriguing title fight. Something we can't say about Franklin in the MW division.

And by the time he would be up for a title shot Machida will be the champ so it would make an interesting story

  20. what is machida going to do to Rampage or Forrest?

  21. Machida's biggest win in Soko, who was himself overhyped because he was able to win over two top guys with raw talent.

I see him squeaking out a decision over both of them when the time comes.

  23. both those guys have like 100lbs on his ass, and Rampage for sure has the skills to threaten him on the feet.

MW is fucked for sure. anderson looks like he'll stay champ for a while, rich is stuck as #1 gatekeeper and can't get out. if you look at matchups as a ladder, no one in MW can fight anderson ever again since it's unlikely they'll make it past rich. :dunno: it's fucked if they keep it as a ranking thing. people aren't likely to beat franklin, franklin simply doesn't have the skills to beat silva.
