    I have an NVidia GForce 2 128mb.
    It's about 3 years old.
It has always worked great, I wouldn't call it obsolete, but just recently my fps from a solid 60 (for years), is now bouncing around 55. I wouldn't be saying anything, but it does affect my gaming, there is a huge difference between 57 and 60, to the point where I realize it everytime. So i look up my fps and it's not at 60 anymore.
So somtimes it is at a solid 60, and somedays it's not. A reboot will always fix the problem.

    Any ideas?
    (I have the newest driver)

    Thanks.

Degrading hardware? Check for overheating, clean it. Possibly re-apply the HSF (or w/e cooling it has) with new thermal paste/epoxy, and see if that helps.

Sometimes hardware just degrades and you have to upgrade.
