The wife is going to be going out of country in the summer to her homeland and I will not be going with her. She is wanting to take her Fox Labs with her, but since she can't keep it in her carry on I was wondering if there is a risk of it bursting once they hit cruising altitude. Anybody ever done this before?

Is it going to be legal in the country she's traveling to?

If possible I'd suggest she just buys one there and then give it to someone before she leaves.

Yeah, I know, that's why I'm asking about it bursting in her checked bag. I doubt the cargo hold is pressurized.

This really isn't an option, the problem is there is a new scam where they watch for people that get off of international flights then attack them once they leave the airport. A cab driver and his passenger were almost beaten to death for her luggage as soon as they left the airport.

How about the kimber one? I think it's called..lifeguard or something. It doesn't use a pressurized container but something like a primer to compress a piston and expel the OC.

I've traveled with Fox in my checked bags before no issues for US flights. Not sure on international.

Here in Brazil the use of pepper spray is prohibited for civilians, only LEO's are allowed to have it. :/

On the other hand, it's relatively easy to find, and I would rather use it and explain later to the police, than be robbed, beaten, or worse.
