My wife found some old ass photos, taken during WWII in her late father's old possessions. Sadly some of them are stuck together. Anyone have any tips/pointers for getting these separated without damaging them? :x:

well, they will not warp much in the middle, but they will around the edges if it is a fiber paper (which it likely is) If they're not WAY stuck, you'll end up with less "warping" which will mostly be curling.

Basically, if you have to soak them enough to saturate the entire print in water, dry both prints on a window screen and expect to have them flattened.

You can also have a print shop mount them, they will be able to take care of curling.

If you know anyone who's got experience with making old-school "fiber prints" talk to them, they will be your new best friend. :bigthumb:

i only know one other local guy that's into photography, and i didn't even know he liked to shoot until this past week, so i've got no clue what he likes to shoot. I'll ask up at First Photo as well. :bigthumb:
