Just had a allergy test with like 150 boxes on my back to see what I am allergic too. Originally went in because I kept getting small rashes underneath wrist areas (watch) and waist (belt buckle).

Found out I am allergic to the following:
    Potassium dichromate
    Nickel
    Cobalt

Which the first thing they said is I can't get a tattoo, alot of dyes in inks use one of or more of the 3 items posted. Any been thru this or have a solution? I have saved up for YEARS to get my sleeve done :sadwavey:

The amount of nickel in a watch/belt compared to a tattoo is much different. A lot of people have problems with watches and have tattoos without having any problems.

Hmm 20% content of nickel rubbing no your skin, vs 5% permamently in your skin. Doesn't sound like a trade off to me.

Looking for someone has experience in this, not just taking a guess. :nono:

I work in a tattoo shop. I have experience. The owner of our shop has a nickel allergy and has full sleeves.

google nickel allergy tattoo. Enough pictures on there to make me ask if there is an organic ink out there with less of these ingredients

Same here. I have a bajillion allergies, nickel being one of them. I'm tattooed, working on a sleeve and I've never had issues with tattoo ink.
