My grandmother passed away in Dec and we've been slowly going through her stuff to see who wants what. I came across a Pentax K1000 in really nice shape and it has a 50mm f/2 lens on it. There was some B&W film still in it that I finished out the roll and sent out to see if it was still good.

This a decent camera to play around in the film world with? I have a Rebel XT w/a couple lenses that I use. Would it just be worth keeping for when I trade up to something else?

BTW, every so often when I took a shot w/it I would check the back to see how the pic came out like a fucking Pavlov's dog reflex.

Ok. Yea, the XT was my learnin' camera and while it's in great shape and works I'm wanting something better. I've had this thing for a good 5-6 years.

I'll hang on to it and just sell it when it comes time. Thanks.

I'm also considering taking the K1k and Rebel XT and selling them towards a T2i with my tax returns.

personally, i would jump to a xxd body if you can. you won't have to replace any of your lenses and the ergonomics alone make it worth the jump. i went from an xt to a 30d and wouldn't go back to a rebel.

I still use my k1k SE brown body...

Keep it, you won't get much for it. and if anyone you know wants to learn photography you can let them borrow it

Picked up a T2i body today.

Will maybe post pics tonight. I like the LCD interface the most.
