i think either alpine, or pioneer would do wonders with fosgate... sony is struggling with their own problems(like trying to survive off their name alone.). the only time sony is on top, is when they create a new tech that no one else can copy for awhile.

pioneer with a descent line of amps and speakers would definately be a good idea. I think its a downgrade for alpine, technology wise:o

Harman should buy them. They already own everything else...this would make them the GM of audio gear.

from my expirence the only thing good in pioneer's car audio line-up, is their decks and entery level subs(i know you'll say the rev speakers are good, but i was not thrilled by them.). even so, they are not that great... but still leaps and bounds over clarion, jvc, blau, kenwood, etc.... and pioneer buying fosgate would make them as respectable in the US, as they are around the world.

RF is redoing their entire Power series amps and subs this year, they're going to implent a a bunch of new things including the Hybrid powersupply from their 15k amp into the entire power line.
