I agree and I hope Forrest takes this one. I just wouldn't put any money on it.

Anderson will take this fight but I think forest griffin will do a lot better then most people think he will. It makes me wonder though if Anderson wins will it cause problems in his camp since machida is the UFC champion and forest was a former champion. Makes you wonder if anderson would get pissed because he cant jump up to lhw any more while machida is in the same camp.

Forrest always needs to eat a shot before he gets into the fight. Unfortunately for him this shot will put him on his ass.

I really hope Anderson gets fucking wrecked. Not because Im a huge fan of either guy, Im just sick of seeing people move up or down divisions when they are champions. If you have the belt you have to stay in your own fucking division.

And miss out on some great fights? :ugh: :slap:

Plus in Anderson's case it's more understandable since he can comfortably fight at 205 and the competition at 185 just isn't on his level.

Lack of recognizable champions is one of the reasons for boxing's dwindling popularity as of late. If the title changes hands every fight, or if the champions are jumping up and down weight classes, it really takes away from the validity of the title its self. Its not good for the sport IMO. Then again wtf do i know.

Yeah, I hope that Anderson keeps tearing up the ultra competitive 185 lbs division..

You know.. He's been so exciting and motivated in his recent wins..

MMA =! Boxing.. Dumb to even compare the two..

Boxing = $60 ppv, one fight, 3 terrible undercard fights
MMA = $50 ppv - 6-10 fights, most are good

werd, i totally lost interest in Pacquiao when he moved up 2 weight classes to fight De La Hoya. Fights like that arent good for the sport at all.

    wait wat

Forrest seems like a pretty nice guy to hang with hopefully he doesn't get too fucked up by Silva.

I would hardly call it dumb to compare boxing and MMA. Aside from the obvious pugilistic similarities, the draw the same target audience, use the same broadcast method (ppv), and even use the same system for scoring.

It would be foolish for Zuffa to not attempt to learn from, and hopefully capitalize on, boxings mistakes and wrong turns.

In terms of Anderson specifically, I dont think moving him up a weight class is the right move. Get him better competition, let people move up or down to challenge him. Pride had dominant and popular champions even when they were not facing the #1 contender (or even close) every match. In a way it made for a bigger showdown when two top guys finally met.

But like I said, what the fuck do I know. If I had all the answers I guess I wouldn't be building houses for a living.

I have zero interest in PacMan vs. Mosely and PacMan vs. Maywhether. Those fights would suck. I'd rather see them all in their own weight classes.

    wat
