formatted and freshly installed winxp sp2, but now it won't boot

    I get this event log...

    Code:
    The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck.  The bugcheck was: 0x1000008e (0xc000001d, 0x0000000b, 0xf896f918, 0x00000000)
    I can boot into windows in safe mode w/network support, but not a normal windows boot.

    yea, so basically it could be.....mobo,mem,video,sound, nic :rofl: I've already tried swapping the memory and it was a no go, so im gonna try the mobo and processor next. So i guess now that i formatted and reinstalled EVERYTHING, I get to do it again :(

    Install XP w'out any SP's, then upgrade it to SP2. Worked for mine.
