your knees look like they go in at the bottom... try pushing out with your feet. i suck at squatting though so probably someone gonna tell me i'm wrong :dunno:

knees are a little wobbly the whole way.. but that'll probably just take a lil' more coordination.. trying sitting back more so that your knees dont shoot out over your toes (maybe practice with box squats?).. i dont keep my hands that close together, though that's probably personal preference..

you're dropping pretty quick, too.. maybe a more controlled negative will help correct a few of the other things.

    looked pretty good though :)

there's nothing wrong with a closer grip, it actually keeps your upper back tighter

i forgot to push the knees apart, i'll remember to do that next time.

as for the hands, i dont have a mirror so i have to place them at a point where both thumbs touch my shoulders, so i know i'm centered. then i just end up leaving them there.

i'll try slowing down the negative as well.

and need to pay attention to my toes. :noes:

    thanks guys :bigthumb:

I had a couple quick questions after watching those:

    1. I noticed from the back view that your toes look turned slightly outward. I do the same thing -- does anyone see a problem with this?

    2. Your lower back looks a little bit loose/bent at the very bottom of your squat in the side view. That might just be the angle, but do you feel any stress in your lower back when doing squats?

dont push the knees apart. push your feet apart - keep your knees over your ankles.

the knees moving thing does not matter for olympic squatting jackasses. the squats look great, rounding over at the bottom is gonna happen since youre going very deep and are fatigued. i thought they looked great. also the decent was perfect speed too. basically disregard everything mike has said and you're doing fine just get stronger, do some weighted lower back work

Where would a good place to get my OLY squat form looked at? BTW, I always have the problem of the bar rolling down my traps a little when I come up, is that solely because I round or something? I can never figure it out.

and i'm surprised nobody's asked why center of my bar is blue.

it's painters tape, covering the rusty peeling part of the bar.

one day i'll buff it off and put some primer on there.
