I believe so, but the totality of foreign has overtaken domestic for the first time now. It's sad for our nation. I know a lot of people that work in that industry. They are going to be SOL in the near future.

The big three have really stepped up their game in recent years.

The problem now is short sighted fools who think that anything American is crap.

It's funny because it took a long time for foreign cars to gain momentum in sales on this continent (partly) because of their reputation of expensive repairs and parts.

I've owned two American and two Japanese vehicles so far in my life. The quality of the Japanese vehicles were infinitely higher than the American. I was constantly repairing my American vehicles. I have a Honda right now that has over 100,000 miles on it and I've spent maybe 2 grand on repairs. It's not even debatable at this point.

one of the most ambiguous arguments ive ever read

no info the years of the american cars vs the japanese cars, the condition, if it was bought used, companies, etc.

next, just because those were unsatisfactory doesnt mean all of them are you fucking idiot

629,569 units sold by US automakers and 679,523 units sold by the imports. That works out to a 48.6% market share for the domestics and a 51.4% share for the imports.

Compared to last year for the month

    BMW Group +25.1% at 28,364 (07/06: 23,611)
    Chrysler Group –4.6% at 137,728 (07/06: 150,349)
    Ford Motor Co –15.7% at 195,245 (07/06: 241,339)
    General Motors –18.5% at 320,935 (07/06: 410,332)
    Honda America –3.2% at 141,049 (07/06: 151,804)
    Nissan North America +5.9% at 87,877 (07/06: 86,406)
    Toyota Motor Co. –3.5% at 224,058 (07/06: 241,826)

It's not going to get better.

It will also destroy our manufacturing sector in time. Hardly anyone realizes how bad this situation is.

    I do.

The political and economic portions of the problem are one of the reasons I support GM.

Not all of my posts are based on blind sackriding.
