do you guys work forearms directly or do most of you just work them indirectly from doing other exercises?

depends if your trying to get the inside or the outside of the forearm pumped..wrist rolls are good for inside and i find hammer curls are good for topside

I used to do them directly, but now I am too lazy.

They get a pretty good pump from pullups, deads, heavy curls anyway.

I occasionally do wrist curls, but mostly work via pullups, deads and hangs.

Reverse preacher curls seem to work them as well.

.. of course nothing really to show for 'em :)

The best forearm exercise I've found is to tie a 5lb weight to a handle with about 5 feet of slack and roll it up then roll it back down to the ground slowly

They arn't thats all grip strength and grip doesn't necessarily equal forearm size. Shit layne norton deadlifted 650 with hook grip and he has tiny forearms.
