So I've recently started lifting again, and the last week or so I've developed a really bad pain in both of my forearms. It hurts the worst when I do curls, but I have pain all throughout the day. It's on the outside of the forearm, about midway between my elbow and wrist. It almost feels like its the bone, and it hurts really bad when i push on it. I had this problem in junior high, and the pain got so bad I had to stop lifting for awhile. When I started up again, I never had the pain again. But now its back.

Has anyone experienced this or know what it could be? The only info I've found online suggests tendonitis or maybe even tennis elbow.

    Any help is appreciated :bigthumb:

I had that pain. I manned up in the start and watched it get worse. Then I backed off and let it heal and changed my placement of the hands and it's gotten better but still there. I'll let you know when I figure out how to solve it.

stop doing curls......do close grip pullups......it will build it up for ya.....at least that's what's fixing it for me.....i started doing 5x5 on pullups (starting with like 30 x 1 cause i could only do 1 rep at a time thanks to fatness) but im up to 5x5 and my forearm pain is going away

I would say to pullups 3 times a week. 5x5 and get to where you can do 10 in a set, then add curls and it should be fine....it seems to be helping me, but im not a doctor or anything like that this is just my experience

Curls are what started it for me, dropping those made it go away.
