Sure, it doesn't make the enthusiast heart flutter. But for those of us who need something competent to haul ourselves, our loved ones and all our stuff without breaking the bank I think Ford has a pretty good package in this car.

A friend of mine back in the midwest emailed me saying he's trading in his ratty old Escape for a new family vehicle that won't bankrupt him to purchase or operate. He's married and has a child with another on the way. I suggested the Taurus X. He's going to pick one up.

Is the Edge not in the same class?

  3. This brings back childhood memories of the plymouth reliant station wagon.

Ford had a great idea there.

It was called "lets copy the Subaru Legacy Outback"

I would think their most underrated product would be the fusion family. It does get some press, mainly because ford is trying to advertise the hell out of it, but it is the most reliable vehicle they have ever made.

I don't like the new grills that all Fords have now.

  15. I would rather drive a fusion or edge over that that.

They should make it a little longer for a bit more interior room, undercut Toyota's FJ cruiser by $4500 and sell them like crack in Miami.
