    I don't know the year, but it was in the 30's I think. GM tried to get a loan to acquite Ford, but was denied.

    i'd say ford is in a better position to dig themselves out of the pit than gm is.

    ah they do me

    i'd love a xr6 turbo, or a typhoon.

    But in most classes i wouldn't buy a Ford, like the focus is a great car, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

    Not likely. GM is having to create new models that people want to buy, whereas Ford can just import them from overseas where they've been making them for a decade now.

    you mean like the insignia, astra, corsa etc?

    GM europe doesn't do too badly.

    Yeah, except for the whole fuel-economy thing.

    Euro cars are also easier to bring over here because their safety regulations are as good or better than ours; change the headlights, dumb down the controls, make the license plate holder narrower and taller, done.
