The upcoming Las Vegas installment of the Barrett-Jackson auction is coming this weekend and Ford will be offering up a couple interesting SVT vehicles.

One is a 2000 SVT Cobra R that was used by Ford Racing as a pace car for a short time before being tucked away into storage. It's #2 of the 300 Cobra Rs made that year and is clearly in immaculate condition. Although its 385-horsepower 5.4-liter V8 seems tame by today's standards, anyone who has driven one of these track-ready beasts knows that this was one of the coolest Cobra Mustangs ever built.

Also on the block will be a Ford GT that was used by SVT to test various components and overall durability. It was the second GT built and was converted for a short time to Canadian specifications. It's now back in U.S. trim and full road legal. Look for the Mustang to cross the block on Friday night while the GT will make its appearance on Saturday.

Haha, i was wondering if the SVT part and it being a Ford GT was a typo.
I hear the 385hp rated Cobra R puts out like almost 380 at the wheels

Didnt realize it had 12k miles on it. Looked real clean though. Cant find them under $50k anyways

The other Cobra R sold $47k with less than 100 miles. wtf?

What the Cobra R went for is cheaper than a new GT500 and it will probably be worth more in ten years.

    i do NOT beleive that

consdiering most magazines couldn't get it into the 13's.

It does not have the power to weight ratio for even a low 13 let alone 12's.

    i just dont believe it

i can already see the aftermarket wheels

that is in the relm of times 450hp cars would run

the 425hp g8 gxp cant match that, and its significantly more powerful, manual, and weighs half a tonn less.
