    Dealers, analysts see ominous trend

With little new product in the pipeline, Mercury faces extinction in a few years, industry analysts predict and many dealers fear. Ford Motor Co.'s only known new product for Mercury after the 2008 model year is a reskin and hybrid version of the 2009 Milan sedan.

Mulally reportedly is not a big Mercury fan and will probably pull the plug on the brand alltogether.

This should have happened 15 years ago.

What does mercury need for new product development anyway?
Take the new ford and add a waterfall grille to it.

they should have done that 10 years ago. Two different brands, but pretty much identical cars :uh:
