I remember watching NASCAR and a toyota car was in the lead for awhile and the announcers were very carefully bashing toyota, it was funny. Has a foreign car ever come in first at NASCAR?

the irony is NASCAR tries to regulate everything so that each manufacturer lacks a competitive edge, so it really wouldn't matter if toyota won or not. :dunno:

I think to a bunch of hick rednecks, which is mostly NASCAR's fan base, it means a lot to them if toyota wins.

    dot dot and dot.

    Toyota and Ford > *

I've always been a dedicated ford, toyota/lexus follower.

Doesn't mean I don't like other brands, but fords and toyotas have always been my fav. It seems they both follow somewhat the same idea, no sports cars just cars with just enough power to get by with without being noticeably slow in regular commutes/traffic. The mustang has always been a case in point, it's not quite a sports car but it's a good cheap base to build one from.

I found it humurous that Ford outsells GMs when GM is the company putting huge v8's and high-hp motors in almost everything they sell. The average person doesn't care about that, apparently. They just need the motor to move the car, having 400hp isn't important.

We are thinking about replacing a couple of old econolines and a chevy pickup with Transit Connects for the electrical contracting company. RFID tagged tools would be fucking brilliant.

I'm on my 4th Ford car, I've never had problems with any of them except my first car. It was a 1984 Thunderbird with a 3.8 V6. It gave me some grief, but it was a 16 year old car with 180,000 on the clock.
