Anybody who likes GM is a socialist.
It's funny 'cause it's true.
ford is doing it right
Fuck you GM.
Fuck you Chrysler.
Fuck you Bush.
Fuck you Obama.
Impossible, all USA automakers should have failed without bailouts
*This is due to a one-time gain from debt-restructuring that yielded $3.4B. They would have had a $424M loss without that.
built ford tough mother froggers
The books have to be cooked.
Ford for President
At least their pretax loss is down from $1.3B to $851M. And Ford Europe is still posting strong profits of $138M.
And they've been hiring some techs too. Granted these guys already have their credentials
They really should consider the kind of speedy bankruptcy GM underwent.
2000 Ford Expedition, 244k miles, never seen a shop, just changed the original serpentine belt, original battery. only thing remotely wrong is the left ball joint is starting to get a little loose. Easy fix
My next purchase: 2010 Ford Expedition
Yea, instead of being a decent company and fixing it themselves.
Seems to me being stubborn is only going to make it worse in the end.
I was looking at the new Taurus SHO thinking "that's a damn fine looking vehicle... and with plenty of horsepower, wow..."
Then I saw that it weighs 4400 lbs. That's four thousand, four hundred lbs. It needs 350 hp just to get moving.
425hp for less then STi money > *
Taurus is a fucking rental car
This is only true in Australia... where that car is a domestic.
twice the power of the original, but close to twice the weight too
the aussie falcons are heavy, but 3800lbs is fairly acceptable for a large sedan, they're more powerful too. 4400lbs is just a joke
I like the new one.
Although for the money they want for it, I'd probably get a V-8 Hyundai Genesis.
Spare me. Their top domestic competitors used bankruptcy to either merge with a popular European automaker with access to small efficient cars or to unload a huge amount of debt.
A bit of pride is not worth being able to clean the slate.
That isn't exactly good news.
