'We're only going to be in business if we create products that people really do want and value. This is the essence of creating a viable Ford."

-Alan Mulally, CEO - Ford Motor Company

    Compare and contrast:

    "Please give us money"

-Rick Wagoner, CfailO - General Motors

Ford, and GM, both have HORRIBLE products. It's not he unions... it's the shitty products and support they provide. They NEED to fail.

This "situation" will give the automakers a chance to slow down their R&D and actually try to deliver something that the people want NOW. Not try and guess what the people will want in 2011.

Not really. The public perceives their products the way you do.

There's nothing wrong with their vehicles at all. I guess law enforcement, limousine services, and Fire/EMS all drive HORRIBLE vehicles.

Again, your perception is that Ford/GMs are shitty, they are not actually shitty. I know many wealthy people that will only buy one or the other.

The President rolls in a GM product, but according to Werm, it is a HORRIBLE vehicle.

I'd take a Fusion ove the Malibu, though both are better than the Camry.

I've owned 2 Jap cars and 2 domestics. The domestics had minor shit go wrong, like $75 window regulators or batteries. The Hondas have shit like axles and motor mounts going bad.
